Warranty
Last updated: 21 September 2026
Three separate things protect your system: our workmanship warranty, the manufacturer's product warranties, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law. They operate independently — none of them replaces the others.
1. Workmanship warranty
Covers the installation itself: mounting and racking, penetrations and flashing, cabling, isolators, labelling, and the quality of the electrical work.
Period: workmanship warranty period to confirm
Under the Clean Energy Council's approved retailer requirements, installers commonly offer five years on workmanship. Confirm the figure that applies to your job — it is stated in your written quote and contract.
2. Product warranties
Provided by the manufacturer, not by us. Terms vary by brand and model, and the exact period and conditions for your system are listed in your quote and in the documentation handed over at commissioning.
| Component | Typical industry range | Yours |
|---|---|---|
| Solar panels — product | 12–25 years | confirm |
| Solar panels — performance | 25–30 years to ~85% output | confirm |
| String inverter | 5–12 years | confirm |
| Microinverter / optimiser | 20–25 years | confirm |
| Battery | 10 years, with a throughput or retained-capacity condition | confirm |
| Mounting and racking | 10–15 years | confirm |
The ranges above are general industry figures for orientation only. The figures that apply to you are the ones in your quote.
3. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
These rights apply in addition to, and are not limited by, any manufacturer warranty period. A system that fails well before a reasonable person would expect may still be covered even if a written warranty has expired.
What is not covered

- Loss of output caused by new shading, soiling, or a lack of reasonable cleaning and maintenance.
- Grid outages, retailer tariff changes, or changes to feed-in rates.
Making a claim
- Call 0494 321 664 or email infosolarnbatteryco@gmail.com.
- Have ready: your address, the approximate install date, and what the system or app is showing.
- We will troubleshoot remotely first where we can — a surprising number of faults are a tripped isolator or a network dropout.
- If a site visit is needed we will book one. response-time commitment to confirm
- If the fault is a product defect we manage the manufacturer claim on your behalf.
Keep your installation paperwork and commissioning certificate — it is the fastest way to establish what was installed and when.
Do not publish until filled Every figure marked above needs your real warranty terms. Publishing a warranty page with incorrect periods creates a contractual exposure — a customer can rely on what it says.
